Cheaper to rent a Ferrari

W&D has never been one to be enamoured with a motor vehicle called a Ferrari.  How much can you take to the rubbish tip in a Ferrari (or a Porsche)?

But it is somewhat reflective of the shape of the world that it is now much cheaper to hire a 150,000 tonne cargo ship for a day ($2,230) than to hire a Ferrari F40 ($7,970) [1].

[1]  The Ferrari F40 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door coupé sports car built from 1987 to 1992 (up to 1994 for the LM and 1996 for the GTE).  It was designed to celebrate Ferrari's 40th anniversary and was the last Ferrari automobile personally approved by Enzo Ferrari.   W&D can pick one up for about $1.5m.
