What matters this week: not much
What matters this week? Well, not much it seems.
Without big market news we focus on new media versus old media. And review CML Group, a new company in clients' portfolios.
The news of the election has brought a slow down in trading volumes in Australia. And, more globally, there was little to cause the markets to move much. US investors cannot work out whether the S&P 500 is over-valued or not (we think it is), and in the absence of any strong economic or business direction, is just creeping around.
First Samuel investment activity, with the exception of the purchase of CML, was, as usual, focused on individual portfolio matters.
