James has over 13 years diverse financial services, professional services and corporate experience prior to joining First Samuel in 2018.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Melbourne. After graduating, James worked as a Senior Tax Consultant at Ernst & Young before moving to Sydney and working for Lion Beer Spirits & Wine in a variety of commercial business partnering roles.
Upon becoming married in 2014, he returned to Melbourne and focused his career in Financial Services with both illion (formerly Dun & Bradstreet) and NAB.
When he is not chasing around his two young children, James is an infrequent but obsessed golfer, and also enjoys sailing, spending time at the beach, tending to his patch of lawn and garden, and cooking. He is Treasurer of his children’s parent-managed childcare centre, and also has an entrepreneurial streak which he indulges through running his own online fashion brand.
