Nicholas Sinclair Barnett - Chairman - B.Ec, ACA, MAICD
Mr Barnett has 25 years' experience as a Chartered Accountant and Business Consultant including 11 years at KPMG with the last 2 years as a Partner of that firm.
He has been the Managing Director of Barnett Consulting Group (Property and Financial Specialists), Chief Executive Officer of Ambit Group (IT Recruitment Specialists) and of Insync Surveys, a benchmarked stakeholder survey company.
He is also a co-founder and director of Leblanc Diagnostics Australia. Mr Barnett is a Director of Mission Australia Limited and is Chairman of Insync Surveys Pty Limited.
He is the Chairman and a non-Executive Director of First Samuel Limited and Chairman of the Remuneration & Nominations Committee.
Elizabeth Henty Parkin - Director - B.Bus, FFin, ACA, MAICD
Miss Parkin has over 25 years' experience in corporate analysis and corporate advisory roles, working for such firms as E.L. & C. Baillieu, KPMG Corporate Finance and since 1997 as a Director of Parkin Corporate.
She is also a director of Yarra Valley Water and Port of Melbourne Corporation, a trustee of the Northcote Trust Fund and a former director of Beaconsfield Gold NL and 3MBS.
Miss Parkin is chair of the Audit Committees for Yarra Valley Water (Risk Management and Audit Committee), Port of Melbourne Corporation (Audit Committee), and former chair of Beaconsfield Gold (Audit and Risk Management Committee) and North East Water.
Miss Parkin is Deputy Chair and a non-Executive Director of First Samuel Limited, Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and a member of the Remuneration & Nominations Committee.
Antony Baron Greenwood - Director - LLB, FAIM, MAICD
Mr Greenwood is currently a consultant to and was a partner of law firm Blake Dawson Waldron, where he specialises in corporate law and governance.
Prior to that he was a Commissioner of the National Companies and Securities Commission (the forerunner to ASIC). He is an external member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Council of Victoria University.
He is also a member of the Anglican Synod and holds a variety of roles within the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne including as a director and secretary of the Anglican Diocesan Schools Commission (Diocese of Melbourne) Ltd, and is a member of the national board of The Salvation Army Employment Plus.
He was a Churchill Fellow in 1973, a board member of the Fairfield Hospital from 1994-5, and Chairman of Beaconsfield Gold NL 2003-2005.
Mr Greenwood is a non-Executive director of First Samuel Limited and member of the Audit & Risk Committee.
John Alexander Bryson - Director - B.Eng (Mech), MBA
Mr Bryson has over 25 years' experience in the finance industry. He was an equity owner of JBWere and had various senior executive roles including Group General Manager, Group Retail Manager and Director Corporate Finance.
Since leaving the firm in 2003, Mr Bryson has been Chief Executive Officer for the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust, managing approximately $100 million of charitable funds and currently is a member of the Investment committee.
In addition, Mr Bryson is a board member of the Bionic Ear Institute and member of the Risk and Finance Committee and Investment Committees, a board member of Praemium Ltd, Chairman of the Risk management Committee and member of the Audit and Remuneration committees, and on the Board of Choisuel Limited and member of the Audit Committee.
Mr Bryson is a non-Executive director of First Samuel Limited and a member of the Remuneration & Nominations Committee.
Murray Philip Baird - Director - BA, LLB, MAICD
Mr Baird has 25 years experience as Senior Partner of Moores Legal Melbourne practicing in the areas of corporations, taxation and not for profit entities.
He has substantial practice experience in Board governance and is presently Chairman of Ansvar Insurance Ltd and Chairman of Moores Legal Pty Ltd.
Anthony Starkins - Founder and Executive Director - LLB, B.Ec, CFA, FFin, MAICD
Anthony is the Founder and Executive Director of First Samuel. He has 30 years' experience in the investment and finance industry.
Anthony's previous experience includes working with J.P. Morgan Investment for 9 years, most recently as Regional Head of Marketing Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He also spent 10 years with Schroders PLC in a variety of capital markets and treasury related capacities in Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo and London.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, holds Bachelor degrees in both Laws and Economics from Monash University and has completed the University of Oxford Advanced Management Program and the University of Michigan Business School Strategic Marketing Program.
Anthony is a Fellow of the Financial Service Institute of Australasia, a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is an executive director of First Samuel Limited and was, until recently, a Director of the Melbourne Football Club and Ruyton Girls' School. He is also a trustee of a number of charitable foundations.
Anthony is married with 5 children, all of school age. He is a passionate and occasionally disappointed Melbourne Football Club supporter and still plays cricket (for the Mt Eliza Cricket Club).
